Obituaries
Anna V. Babineau, age 94, of Plymouth, died January 30, 2018 at Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston. She was the daughter of the late Owen and Mary Catherine (McEwen) Babineau. Born in Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada on April 6, 1923, she was raised in Melrose and lived in Kingston for over 30 years. She was educated in Melrose schools and worked as a supervisor in the actuary department of John Hancock Life Insurance Company until her retirement. She was active for many years with the Melrose Garden Club, and the choir at St. Marys Church in Melrose. She was talented in oil painting and the art of stained glass. Anna is survived by her nephew Robert Haley and his wife Maureen of Hopkinton, her niece Theresa Mortensen and her husband Dana of Wakefield, a great niece Barbara, two great nephews Robert and Michael, and four great-grandnieces and nephew, Cassandra, Cheyanna, Jamison and Gracie. Funeral from the DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 619 State Rd. (Manomet), Plymouth on Wednesday at 10AM, followed by a funeral mass in St. Bonaventures Church, 803 State Rd., Plymouth at 11AM. Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 2:00PM - 5:00PM.
