Alice Frances Furtado
January 21, 1936 - February 10, 2023
Alice Frances (David) Furtado, age 87, of Plymouth died peacefully on Friday February 10th in her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Dennis A. Furtado. Born in Plymouth on January 21, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Eugene F. and Evangelina (Rapose) David. A lifelong resident of Plymouth she was a graduate of Plymouth High School and worked for the town at the Tax Collector’s office for many years.
Alice enjoyed a variety of different hobbies including sewing, knitting and quilting. However, she especially took pride in cooking for and feeding her large family whom she loved and was dearly devoted to. She was the loving mother of Beth A. Palmer and her husband David of Plymouth, Dennis B. Furtado and his wife Lisa of Plymouth, Brenda M. McPherson and her husband Jack of Plymouth, and Douglas K. Furtado of Weymouth. She is survived by her sisters Louise Borgatti, Mary Scheid and Theresa Bongiovanni all of Plymouth and sister in law of Gayle David of Plymouth. She was the sister of the late Carlo and Robert David. She is the cherished grandmother of Jillian and Madison Palmer, Laurel, Jack,Mia and Morgan McPherson and Derek and Nikolis Furtado.
Visiting hours in the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home 150 Court St. Plymouth (Downtown) on Friday February 17th from 10-12 noon with a service to follow at noon. Burial at Vine Hills Cemetery Plymouth. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
