"Albert Herald Solomon Al Solomon local photographer dies at 88. The beloved son of the late Gertrude and Benjamin Solomon, Al graduated from Boston University following his military service in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. Living in Waltham, MA, Al did sports photography at Waltham High School where his son Keith Solomon was on the wrestling team. Al continued there until moving to Hyannis where he opened a Photo Quick Lab in Hyannis. He volunteered at Mass Maritime and at local school football games always with his camera. He loved taking pictures at many town functions. Then in the late 80?s Al moved to Port St. Lucie, FL with fianc‚ Marion Jepson and opened the Port St. Lucie Photo and Portrait Studio. He again became very involved in the community taking pictures for the city of Port St. Lucie, the PSL Police Dept. and Port St. Lucie High School Athletic Dept. The NY Mets Spring Training Stadium was in his backyard and Al was right there volunteering for the St. Lucie Mets and NY Mets. Al also took photos for the Fantasy Baseball Camp. After 10 years in hot FL, Al and Marion moved back home settling in Plymouth, MA. Al could not stop when he found a need for pictures at the Plimoth Plantation and Mayflower II. He volunteered for several years. Then at Mayflower RSVP and the Plymouth COA Photography Group. Al is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Marion Hales Solomon, 1 son, Keith Solomon and his wife Carrie Altman, 1 step-daughter, Jennifer G. Bradley and her husband G. Edward Bradley, 1 step-son Mark Jepson and his wife Joan Jepson, 3 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren, 1 niece and 2 nephews. In addition he is survived by his loving sister Anna Frager, his loving brother Richard Solomon and his wife Candy. A Private Funeral will be held at the MA National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
