Alan Lyndon Maini, age 65, devoted husband of Barbara Frances (Brown) Maini,died on January 4th,2002 upon arrival to the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. He was born on June 10,1936,in Kingston, MA,the beloved son of the late William and Dorothy L.(Cassidy) Maini. Alan was educated in the Plymouth School system and was a graduate of Plymouth High School, Class of 1954. Following his high school graduation, he entered the US Army and proudly served his country from 1961 to 1963, during the Vietnam War. For most of his life, Alan was self-employed as a Mason Contractor. He enjoyed football and baseball, as well as playing cribbage and cards. He was a member of the Cold Spring Club, the Cabot Club and was a past member of the Kiwanis Club of Plymouth. Besides his wife, Barbara Frances (Brown) Maini, Alan is survived by a daughter and three sons;Ann Hart of Stamford, CT, William of Middleboro,MA, Christopher of West Wareham, MA, and David of Plymouth,MA. He also leaves a brother Philip Maini of Plymouth,MA and 6 grandchildren. The funeral Service will take place on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Plymouth United Methodist Church, Carver Road, Plymouth, MA. Friends may call at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court Street, Plymouth,MA on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Interment will be in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth, MA 02360.
